Sometime around 2001, I decided I was a landscape photographer. No more birds, just the land. And an odd seal.

I was making a lot of trips to California, driving north and south, wandering with a camera. In 2003 I lived in LA for six months, and wandered about Griffith Park, the Salton Sea, and Ocean Beach, San Diego. I got a great gig catsitting in winter '04 in East Hampton. More time to work with the landscape. That summer, I was able to travel to the Candian Maritimes...

In 2005 I showed photographs from these wanderings at Derek Eller Gallery in New York.
